Jumpstart Business Recovery is proud to bring six Rapid Recovery seminars to Los Angeles in winter 2017. The seminar is designed with businesses in mind who want to get up and running as quickly as possible after an earthquake. These 1-hour seminars* offer practical steps to address the critical, vulnerable elements of business: Data & Information, Operation, Inventory, Equipment, & Facilities, and People.  *the same content offered at six locations

The seminar will feature two distinguished experts:
Mary Lou Zoback, former Chief Scientists of the USGS Earthquake Science Center
Ines Pearce, Chair of the Disaster Resistant Business Workgroup and Senior Disaster Advisor for the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

About the Risk:

California has been prone to serious earthquakes, and with so much talk surrounding “the big one,” it is imperative that businesses be ready to recover when it does happen. As a business in LA, the risk is real… and not just for you; but to your employees, customer base, and the regional economy as a whole. As they say, it’s not if it will happen, but when.

Who Should Attend:

If you own a business, lead its HR activities, or are responsible for risk management and finances, this Rapid Recovery Seminar is for you. This is especially true for any business that needs to be up and running to support the response and recovery from a major earthquake.

This Rapid Recovery Series is made possible through the support of our partners, including:

About Jumpstart Business Recovery
Jumpstart Business Recovery (JBR) is an initiative to provide tools, resources, and support to businesses working to prepare for the next earthquake in California. A community’s ability to recover and bounce back after disaster is dependent on businesses being open to serve the community, provide jobs for its residents, and see the economy be sustained in times of uncertainty. Jumpstart Business Recovery knows that running a business in itself can be challenging, so in a disaster — without the proper preparations — it can mark the end of a business and its community contributions. With partners from across the community, Jumpstart Business Recovery is a resource for California’s future.
